Photo of Metro Police officerThe Metro Transit Police Department is seeking reliable and dedicated citizens of the community to protect and serve as Police Officers. Successful candidates must have deductive reasoning skills, a good command of the English language, good writing skills, and the ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations.

Successful applicants must meet these minimum employment qualifications:

  • High school graduate or possession of a high school equivalency certificate (GED).
  • Current/valid drivers license
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age on the date of appointment.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be physically fit to perform the duties of a police officer.
  • Have never been convicted of a felony or serious misdemeanor.

Employee benefits:

  • Salary of $44,609 to $80,062 plus shift differential.
